The Rochester Branch of the NAACP is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to support a high school graduate pursuing higher education or to a current undergraduate or graduate student. This scholarship aims to recognize academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to advancing equity and justice.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
Be a high school senior graduating in the Class of 2025 or a current undergraduate or graduate student
Reside in or attend school in the Greater Rochester area.
Have a GPA of 3.0 or above (in either high school or college)
Be a member of NAACP. If you are not a member, join the Rochester Branch of the NAACP
Currently attend or have been accepted to attend a 2-year or 4-year accredited college, university, or vocational/trade program
Demonstrate a commitment to education, leadership, and social justice.
APPLICATION MATERIALS

Completed Application Form (see below)
Official High School or College Transcript
Letter of Acceptance to a post-secondary institution (if not currently enrolled)
Personal Essay (300- 500 words):
"How have you demonstrated leadership in your community, and how will you continue to support equity and justice in your future endeavors?"

The Rochester Branch of the NAACP is proud to offer two $5,000 scholarship to support freshman or sophomore students planning to become teachers in the Rochester School District, and going to RCTC, and Winona State University Rochester.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
A current freshman or sophomore students planning to become teachers in the Rochester School District, and going to RCTC, and Winona State University Rochester.
Reside in or attend school in the Greater Rochester area.
Have a GPA of 3.0 or above (in either high school or college)
Be a member of NAACP. If you are not a member, join the Rochester Branch of the NAACP
Demonstrate a commitment to education, leadership, and social justice.
